Old Bayshore Highway is one of Burlingame's most important transportation corridors, connecting San Francisco International Airport, the Millbrae Multimodal Transit Center, hotels, biotechnology campuses, businesses, and the Bay Trail. The Old Bayshore Highway Streetscape Project will redesign approximately 1.2 miles of roadway to improve safety, accessibility, and mobility for everyone who uses the corridor. Planned improvements include protected bicycle facilities, wider ADA-compliant sidewalks, enhanced pedestrian crossings, transit improvements, landscaping, lighting, and stormwater infrastructure—all within the existing public right-of-way.
Throughout the design process, the City of Burlingame is inviting residents, businesses, employees, visitors, and corridor users to help shape the future of Old Bayshore Highway. This website provides project updates, meeting information, schedules, documents, and opportunities to share feedback as the project moves from preliminary design through final engineering.
